I'll say it as simply as I can:

Watching "Washington Journal" this morning, someone called in talking about the (American) "commies" and how terrible it is they get all upset about naked pictures of prisoners in Abu Ghraib but don't care about 5 American Marines tortured and burned and strung up by the Iraqis --

Let me explain the difference (aside from the fact that the roadside bomb killed them and all the sick games took place after they were dead -- and that this -- judging from his accent -- good ole boy -- doesn't know how any of us -- I assume he's talking about us -- felt about that sick business on that bridge)

We live here.

They live there.

They (the Iraqis) are fighting against the people who invaded their homes and kill their people.

We invaded their homes and kill their people.

They didn't do that to us.

We do that to them.

You see the difference?

US -- HERE

THEM -- THERE

US -- THERE

THEM -- THERE

Even a rabid redneck should be able to understand those words of one syllable.
