11 Indicted in Cases of Environmental Sabotage - New York Times

WASHINGTON, Jan. 20 - A federal grand jury in Eugene, Ore., has indicted 11 people on charges that they committed acts of domestic terrorism on behalf of two shadowy environmental groups, the Earth Liberation Front and the Animal Liberation Front...

The director of the F.B.I., Robert S. Mueller III, who appeared with Mr. Gonzales, said one of the bureau's "highest domestic terrorism priorities" was prosecuting people who commit crimes "in the name of animal rights or the environment."

OR, in real American language, the "highest domestic priorities" are to prosecute anyone who dares to stand up for the environment or animal rights, i.e., anyone who would dare to interfere with the Big Time Yeehah Money Men who give their bribes to the Bushies -- they being, among others -- Mining, Lumber, Oil, Cattle, and Factory Farming Industries.

In other words, anyone who dares to interfere with anyone who is busy making money destroying the land and the flora and fauna thereupon.

Did anyone think these Yahoos would do anything different?

As for the "terroristic" nature of ALF and ELF -- when the people who destroy the land and the living creatures there write the laws to protect their ravagings and prevent anyone from stopping them legally, well, in the words of Saint Barry Goldwater, the Right-Wing Republican Archon --

"Extremism in the pursuit of liberty is no vice."
