Lawmakers Blast Pentagon Over Iraq Report

WASHINGTON (AP) - Congessional critics of Bush administration Iraq policy lashed out at the Pentagon Thursday for keeping classified parts of a report that gave a detailed assessment of the readiness of Iraqi fighting forces...
On Wednesday, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld told reporters that a full report was to be provided to Congress by Thursday or Friday and he said that it would not include an estimate of how many U.S. troops are likely to be required in Iraq next year, even though Congress is pressing for that estimate.
``The information we're getting is in large measure from the Iraqi security forces,'' he said. ``It's their information. It's not for us to tell the other side, the enemy, the terrorists, that this Iraqi unit has this capability and that Iraqi unit has this capability.'' Rumsfeld said it would be ``mindless'' to publish information about the combat readiness of Iraqi security forces that would reveal their strengths and weaknesses.
Does that signifying sonofabitch think the insurgents DON'T know exactly how strong each unit is? Are they just getting lucky, hitting foreign attaches and ambassadors?
This IS Vietnam all over again -- the guys blowing people u pand blowing them away know exactly what's going on ... our troops who come under fire every day -- they know what's going on ... the Iraqi citizens who see 150 - 200 of their fellow citizens killed EVERY WEKK -- THEY know what's going on -- the only people who DON'T get to know what's going on are the American Public, because then even Scott McClellan would have to answer questions.
So it is really no more than descriptive to call Donald "Redrum" Rumsfeld a lying, murdering, sonofabitch.
And to salute him with that particular finger of the hand that symbolizes ONE NATION, straight up -- no ice. Link
