Bush Declares: 'We Do Not Torture'

November 07,2005 | PANAMA CITY, Panama --

President Bush vigorously defended U.S. interrogation practices in the war on terror Monday and lobbied against a congressional drive to outlaw torture.

"There's an enemy that lurks and plots and plans and wants to hurt America again," Bush said. "So you bet we will aggressively pursue them but we will do so under the law."

He declared, "We do not torture."

Over White House opposition, the Senate has passed legislation banning torture. With Vice President Dick Cheney as the point man, the administration is seeking an exemption for the CIA. It was recently reported that the spy agency maintains a network of prisons in eastern Europe and Asia, where it holds terrorist suspects.

So, we do NOT torture but we want an exemtpion for the CIA, because --- what? They're not the USA?

"Our country is at war and our government has the obligation to protect the American people," Bush said. "Any activity we conduct is within the law. We do not torture."

W-w-w-wait a second, let's get that again?

"Our country is at war and our government has the obligation to protect the American people," Bush said. "Any activity we conduct is within the law. We do not torture."

-- L'etat c'est fucking moi?

President Judge Dredd?

Whatever we do is within the law. Because we do it. Ahh, if only Truman Capote were still alive to write the sequel to In Cold Blood about THIS SOCIOPATH.

"ANY ACTIVITY WE CONDUCT IS WITHIN THE LAW. WE DO NOT TORTURE."

Not if we do it. If YOU do it, it's torture. If we do it, it's National Security. And here all along I was wondering why Condoleeza wore those thigh high Madame Night's House of Pain boots.

Might I offer an observation? The boy's insane.
