Every time I see Mitt Romney on TV...

I think of a comment made by the late Howard Gossage at Trader Vic's one evening long long ago:
"That man is trying to work his way up to being a horse's ass...   But he hasn't got what it takes."
When I see Paul Ryan ("Young Ryan hath a lean and hungry look..."), I think of sociopaths... Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, Vlad Tepes, Josef Stalin
...but it's sometimes difficult to tell the difference between a sociopath (no recognizable conscience, no empathy for other humans -- the only apparent recognition of others' needs or feelings is fabricated to get what he or she wants -- money, power, votes) and a psychopathic true believer (God told me to do this so who are you to defy me?)
It's difficult to say, because this young man used to say "Ayn Rand was the most wonderful woman who ever lived and she told me to do this so who are you to defy me?" -- or at least he did until his other masters -- the jolly old pedophiles of the Roman Catholic Church told him --
"SHE WAS AN ATHEIST! So you can NOT tell anyone that she ever said anything worth hearing."

And he dumped her -- What a skank, that bitch, that horrible woman.

But that's just what it looks like to me -- I could be wrong.

ADD -- since writing this, I have seen several articles which include Ayn Rand in their lists of sociopaths, based on apparent lack of compassion for others.

Addendum the second: After reading about Ryan's claim to having been a marathon runner saying his best time was "2 hours and fifty-something" and having been checked by Runner's World, it turned out he ran ONE marathon and finished it in OVER 4 hours, I have resolved my confusion (above) and come down definitely on the side of HE'S A SOCIOPATH who will lie about ANYTHING to impress, manipulate, or coerce whoever he's talking to at the moment.

It's true -- women's bodies DO have a defense against impregnation caused by rape

It's called Abortion.

And in the interest of education I suggest a way toward educational understanding for all those who think there is "legitimate rape," "forcible rape" (that adjective tells us they also think there is a "non-forcible rape), and/or any other form of rape.

Best suggestion for a quick, economical tutorial?

We provide -- for each and every one of them -- a FREE, taxpayer-funded one month vacation as a temporary general population prisoner in such vacation spots as Attica, Chico State, etc, so they can actually learn what rape -- in all it's "no big deal" forms -- can be. (Remember, boys, don't forget to try the "aspirin tablet between your knees" system.)

I think that will do them a lot of good and help them evolve.

The new Swift Boating -- once again, a former military man disgraces his retired uniform

I didn't even know who the guy was or what it was about but as soon as the man said these words:

"As a citizen, it is my civic duty..."
I knew it was total crap, like a Hollywood agent saying "Trust me." (Meaning "Fuck you.")

It seems the Repugnicans have convinced this man, a Special Ops vet, that (1) Obama is leaking info for political gain, and (2) taking credit for taking out Osama Ben Ladn which, the man says, he doesn't deserve (other than being Commander-in-chief, ordering the Joint Chiefs to go for it, supervising it every step of the way, and being very low key and modest since, taking NO personal credit for his own role in getting it done, but proud of Seal Team 6 and the entire military structure that enabled them to finish off the job only 10+ years after Monkey Boy Bush swore he would take care of it.

Like Oliver North, more vets disgracing the uniforms they no longer wear (knowing that the active Seal Team members -- as all active military --are prohibited by law from making a political statement, even a retort to a man selling his former service to the high bidder).

"You didn't kill Ben Ladn -- America did."

No, sir -- Seal Team Six did, and you deny them credit because that would mean SPECIFIC people accomplished the goal, and that would also include the Commander-in-Chief.

But there you are trying your best to prove the old saw that "military intelligence" is a contradiction in terms.

Please, sir, there are a lot of military, active or retired -- most of them, I would think -- willing to do almost anything for our country, anything short of lying or or getting all bullshit pompous ("As a citizen, it is my civic duty...) about having taken a payoff to crap all over your previously honorable service for personal gain.

Full disclosure -- I'm not a great fan of the military in general -- hell, I don't even regard my own half-assed military service very highly (I wasn't very good at it.)
I do have utmost respect for military individuals  -- for their patriotism,  and their courage, and how much they and their families sacrifice for their commitment.

My lack of regard is for the institution which spoonfeeds them the BS the politicians spout but then tells them to fuck off when they come back -- mission accomplished -- but broken to various degrees from what they went through to get it done.

But our history is a sequence of events in which young men and women getting short shrift after they put it all on the line because they had to back up the pissing contest swagger of some asshole in congress or the White House.
That being said, I'm really offended by this group of former Special Ops men who -- when in the service -- killed as needed and/or as ordered for the country, using their former service as a springboard for political attacks, thereby launching their civilian careers as character assassins.

The sincerity of W's post-9-11 statement

Remember when he said: "They hate us for our freedom?"

Well, if that was true -- and it seems as if he (or his script writers) really believed it -- then he took the necessary steps to end the threat and protect us from foreign terrorism.

Enter Homeland Security which "has an interest" in which you may be investigated or interrogated or whatever based on what you say or who you know or the fact that your wife's first cousin's mother-in-law is suspect because her Sodality Society group gave $17 to a Puerto Rican gardener with a stammer and big nose that made someone think he might be an Arab.

A simple solution -- they hate us for our freedom?

Take away the freedom, and maybe they won't hate us anymore and we won't have to worry about foreign terrorism anymore.

So simple.

Mitt Romney -- Hollywood Guy

Yep -- it's Hollywood Willard.

Whether it's about his tax returns or any other of Mitt's "I'm too precious to have to  answer your questions or tell you anything," Mitt's got a couple of pat answers:

1. "You'll just have to trust me on this."
2. I don't know the specifics -- I'll have to check that."

Since the man seems to have a problem speaking English as it is spoken ("aircraft" for airplane, etc) it's natural he would rewrite the way other people in the media world say it.
The usual way is the Hollywood way -- goes like this:

"Trust me." (Meaning "Fuck you.")

"I'll get back to you on that." (Meaning "Fuck off.")
